Travel and Visa

Tickets. All students enrolled in the program will travel to Russia as a group.
We are working on a special discount airfare with one of the major international carriers.  Your tickets will not allow any change of travel, including change of route, making a stopover in Europe, changing the departure or return date. Your tickets will be valid for New York – Moscow – New York roundtrip only.

Visa. All foreign citizens traveling to Russia need to obtain a Russian visa prior to their trip.  In order for us to apply for Russian visa on your behalf you need to have a valid passport.  Russian law requires that your passport should be valid for six months after the expected end of your trip to Russia.
  • If you have a valid U.S. passport, please send it to us with the application form. Please send your valid passport to us no later than application deadline on October 31, 2007.

  • If you don’t have your passport, please apply immediately.  Here is the link to the Department of State website where you can download the application form and have all your passport-related questions answered.

  • If you are a foreign national legally residing in the U.S., please follow the procedure for the U.S. citizens in possession of their passports explained above. You will also need to send us a copy of your current U.S. visa or Green Card with the application.

  • If you are a foreign national joining the Moscow program and NOT traveling from the United States, please follow the procedure for U.S. citizens, but DO NOT FILL OUT THE VISA APPLICATION FORM. You will be applying for your visa at the Russian Embassy or Consulate nearest to you, where application procedure might be slightly different. Please contact our office for special arrangements at your earliest convenience.

Please treat the passport and visa issues as matters of great importance. Students without valid passports will not be able to receive visas in due time.  Students without visas will not be able to board the plane to Moscow. Expediting all paperwork now will save you from troubles and disappointments later.

Airport transfer in Moscow. All students will be met at the airport by the MXAT School representatives and brought to the Moscow Art Theatre School dormitory by charter bus.  Students NOT traveling from the U.S. with the group please contact our office for special travel and transfer arrangements.
